Must-listen moments:

1:46 — How does prioritizing your mental health help your business?

“My health was starting to become affected — and when I had things going on biologically, I had to change the way I eat, change the way that I exercise, or just go outside to get sunshine. And the reality is a lot of times people experience things that stop them in their tracks and gives them a wake-up call. When you see yourself becoming unlike yourself, that causes you to prioritize, you know, you. You cannot neglect yourself.”

3:14 — The importance of therapy

“I think especially in the Black community, we don't talk about therapy. It isn’t a norm within the Black community. So I, myself, had a therapist — she happened to be a white female. It was tough because the things that I would talk about, she could not connect with me on, or it wasn't relatable to her.”
